Festivals, markets and movie screenings – 12 handpicked events for the last month of the summer.



 When:   August 3, 8 p.m.-11 p.m. 
 Where:  Cultural Center Korpus (praspiekt Mašerava 9)

If you ever wanted to get to backstage of theatre or to orchestra rehearsal, that’s your opportunity. Cultural Center Korpus starts a new project that will let you get inside artistic processes. The first event is musical kitchen with Belarusian musicians: pianist Kirill Keduk and violinist Pavel Batyan. Expecting the classical evenings near town hall (you can find more information below) musicians decided to conduct an open event where everybody can watch how the rehearsal is going, talk to the musicians and even become a part of the orchestra. 



Birthday Party

Pinky Bandinsky restaurant is celebrating its 3rd birthday which is a great reason to make a party with delicious food, light show by Laurez Theinert and musicians Dasha Moroz, Mark Prikhodko and Maria Kolesnikova. 


za Bobrov

 When:    August 4, 12 p.m -12 a.m 
 Where:  Airfield Baravaja
 Price:  35 BYN

One of the largest and most famous Belarusian festivals is happening for the 11th time this year. Don’t miss the opportunity to listen to the iconic rock bands from Russia and Belarus performing on one stage – in the line-up of the festival you can find DDT, Zveri, Lyapis-98, Splin and others.

A large flea market organized by the charity project Kalilaska promises a real great amount of brand clothes at ridiculous prices and even more discounts if you buy more. All the gained money will go to charities.


Classical Music
Evenings by
the Town Hall

 When:   August 4, 11, 18, 25, 8.30 p.m.

An open air city festival that has already become a good tradition for Minsk is held for the 4th time. Every Saturday Minsk citizens and guests can enjoy classical music masterpieces at the venue near town hall.


When:  August 8, 12, 14, 15, 18, 21, 22, 26, 29 
 Where:  cinemas of Minsk 
 Price:  n/a

Screenings of the National Theatre live can be found in different Minsk cinemas (Silver Screen Velcom cinema, Centralny cinema, Falcon Club Cinema Boutique) over a month: already classical Hamlet with Cumberbatch, premieres of Romeo and Juliet by RSC, An Ideal Husband by Classic Spring and musical Everybody's Talking About Jamie by The Crucible and others. Screenings are held in English with Russian subtitles.



Dee Tree

A jam concert of a young Minsk soul project created by another soul band By Soulfam in a really atmospheric and creative space – isn’t it a good idea to spend warm summer evening? 



When:  August 11, 12 p.m-11 p.m.. 
 Where:  Łošycki Park 
 Price:  free 

Quite young Belarusian festival that reasonably calls itself a European festival and promises to entertain you with a lot of different activities, spacious food court and picturesque locations. Come and enjoy all of it listening to world known musicians such as Sophie Ellis-Bextor and Modjo as well as the remarkable Belarusian band BezBileta.



When:  August 18, 10 p.m. – August 19, 10 p.m.  
 Where:  Urban Park Dreamland
 Price:  15 BYN till August 10; 20 BYN August 11-17, 25 BYN at the entrance

Open air festival of electronic music lasting 24 hours – isnt’t it a dream? All the aqua park territory will be transformed into a musical town with different locations for relaxing and dancing: 4 dance floors, chill out zones, food courts, hookah lounges, water rides and pools – and all of that will be available both during day and night! Take a chance to enjoy it all to the music of Belarusian, Russian, Israeli and Lithuanian musicians.

Adrenalin in the sky, emotions here on the ground – that’s the motto of the fest. Fireworks by the world masters, music by such iconic Belarusian bands as Krambambulya and Brutto in the evening and lounge zones, food court, beach and children activities during the day will be waiting for you in Lahoisk which is only 50 km from Minsk – one hour journey is worth it.


Culture Festival
Golden Apricot

When:  August 26, 12 p.m. 
 Where:  Płošča Svabody
 Price:  free 

You can find yourself in mini Armenia on the last Sunday of August near the town hall: workshops on national dancing and traditional food preparation, degustation held by Ararat company and performances by creative teams and music bands.

Cinemascope:Restart “Predator”

When:  August 31 – September 2 
 Where:  Praspiekt Pieramožcaŭ 13 (Moscow Cinema)
 Price:  n/a

Cinemascope:Restart project brings back the classics to the big screen. Special screenings of Predator by John McTiernan will be held as in September we are waiting for the remake of the legendary thriller. A restored dcp-copy of the film will be shown in English with Russian subtitles.
